Micro Essay - Success Criteria

The Micro Essay will give:

• A description of what you see and hear in your selected clip
• A basic outline of the storyline/narrative
• An explanation of how meanings particular to your clip are being conveyed through the material of film (sight /shots, angles), sound, mise-en-scene)
• Writing sructured by the chronology of the extract
• Clear description about how the audience interacts with the unfolding of the extract and about meanings the audience gets out of the extract 
• Analysis of how two elements contribute to meaning
• Clear and Consise DESCRIPTION followed by close ANALYSIS
• 350-750 Words
